Essie Rock The Boat Swatches & Review

Happy Wednesday!,

We're just about half way through the week already! I'm excited because tomorrow is going to be like my Friday! Only because the little one has a P.A. Day on Friday which means extra sleep for the two of us! Lol. Today I'll be haring a swatch instead of the usual Watermarble Wednesdays as it just wasn't able to happen this week. Sorry guys, but keep reading to find out about this beauty.
Rock The Boat

Rock The Boat is a pale light blue creme polish with subdued sparkle throughout from the Essie Summer 2013 Naughty Nautical Collection. Now, this is a lovely polish and the colour is pretty but for me, it was one of the misses of Essie polishes. I personally wish that the sparkle was more visible on the nail than it is in the bottle. This polish did have a sheer application but the formula itself was still smooth with okay drying time between coats. The coverage was just okay and I did find it to be a bit patchy by the second coat. I did go in with a third coat to see if that would help but it was still slightly uneven. Luckily the top coat helped to level everything out. Shown is three thin coats with a glossy top coat!

  1. Love pale blues like this. So flattering!

  2. This is a very pretty shade, so refreshing ♡

  3. Too bad it is patchy- the color is so pretty for summer!
