Happy Monday!,
I hope that you are all doing well! It's family day over here which means that a lot of places are closed and most people will get to sleep in (hopefully) lol. When I was contacted by Tanya who is the owner behind My Indie Polish to swatch some polishes from an upcoming collection I just had to say yes! To get the day started I'll be sharing four polishes from the twelve piece Hello Toronto Collection by My Indie Polish to share with you! Seeing as I have lived in Toronto /Scarborough my entire life this collection holds a special place in my heart. Here we go!
Adams Park
Adams Park is a vivid green creme polish with mulitchrome flakies and glitters throughout. The formula on this was perfection and it pretty much applied itself. The formula was smooth, with good coverage and built very nicely. I could have stopped at two coats but did three because I just wanted more flakies! Lol. Shown is three thin coats with a glossy top coat!
Although I have lived in Toronto/Scarborough my entire life I haven't been to Adams Park. My mother did let me know that when I was younger it was a nice quiet park and in the winter time, you would find everyone there going tobogganing.
Matte!
Scarborough
Scarborough is a black crelly polish with various types of silver holographic glitter! This polish guys! Makes my heart happy. I did find that this one had a sheer application but still had good coverage with a decent drying time. I did have to turn the bottle upside down before application because my stars did sink to the bottom but I didn't mind. Scarborough did slightly textured and built very nicely. Shown is three thin coats with a glossy top coat!
I don't even know where to start. I live in Scarborough, I was raised in Scarborough, went to school in Scarborough and Scarborough will forever have my heart. No matter where I am. Although if you were from Scarborough you were classed as being ghetto or a hood rat etc etc but not everyone from Scarborough was like that. Once you get to really know someone from Scarborough you find out how amazing we can be!
Sightseeing On The DVP
Sightseeing On The DVP is a creamy orange polish that has a little bit of holographic to it! Formula wise this beauty applied smooth and had very good coverage. Honestly, I was unsure of the colour because you know it being orange and all but I loved it against my skin tone once I got it on! Sightseeing On The DVP built nicely with a good drying time. Shown is three thin coats with a glossy top coat!
Ahhh the good old DVP (Don Vally Parkway) some people have nicknamed it Death Vally Parkway. Actually not funny but I do giggle now and again. This is the highway I was on when I got into my car accident back in 2013. So to say that we have a love/hate relationship is an understatement. But regardless while driving on this you actually can see some beautiful views of Toronto!
The Beaches
The Beaches is a creamy sky blue polish with subtle holographic throughout! I did find the formula with this one to be a tad bit thin but still very manageable and smooth. This polish just so delicate and pretty. The Beaches did build nicely and a very nice coverage. Shown is three thin coats with a glossy top coat!
The Beaches has been one of my favourite spots to just go and hang out with my friends. Whether it was during the day or in the night it has never been a dull moment. There are so many memories there and hopefully more to come. The Beaches attract so many tourists come the summertime and it's also one of the busiest spots when you want to go and watch some fireworks!
All in all, I am completely impressed with this collection thus far. I personally am going to purchase the other polishes just because this collection will indeed have a special place in my heart. If you wish to see the rest of the polishes from the collection check out Elena from Nail Experiments!
The entire twelve piece full-size collection is available for $150.00 and the mini size collection is available for $100.00. Individual full-size bottles are $14.00 and minis are $8.75. Also, make sure to keep up with My Indie Polish by following them on their social media links!
