Hey Lovelies!,
How are you? I'm okay. I actually dread Tuesdays just because it's my longest day at school. But I can't really complain much seeing as the semester is over in two weeks! I really hope come third semester I don't have anymore long dreadful days like this one. To start the day of off I've got a polish by Essie to show you. Keep reading for more!
DJ Play That Song
DJ Play That Song is a bright red toned plum jelly from the Neon 2013 Collection. I wouldn't classify this as a "neon" polish. The first coat was awfully sheer but did dry fast which helped when it came to applying more coats. Even though I did three coats I could still see some bald spots. DJ Play That Song is a pretty colour but I don't think I'll be using this one again. Shown is three thin coats with a glossy top coat.

You should try it with a white base!
ReplyDeleteIt's BRIGHT, still.
Maybe I'll give that a try!
ReplyDeleteI didn't pick up any out of that collection because I'd heard that they needed too many coats. With all the pretty brights out there, I'll stick to ones that don't need a white base +3 to 4 coats. Thanks fro a helpful review!
ReplyDeleteGreat review! It's a shame it was so sheer.
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty colour, it's a shame it's sheer x
ReplyDeleteWhat a great purple on you! I didn't get this. I'm not a fan of the Essie formula.
ReplyDeleteThanks. I don't blame you I find they can be very hit or miss.
ReplyDeleteIt really is. Thanks Becca.
ReplyDeleteThank you Stacie.
ReplyDeleteThat's exactly why I didn't put on a white base just because I knew it would need to many coats. Thanks for reading!
ReplyDeleteThat's why I always use neons over a white base! You should try that!
ReplyDeleteI see what you mean, it's still a beautiful colour and it looks great on you!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Leanie!
ReplyDeleteI definitely will give that a try. Thanks Simona!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful colour and lovely swatches :) x
ReplyDeleteThanks Becca!
