How are you? I'm alright just trying to make today as productive as ever after having a few lazy days lol! I've got some cat nails to share with you today. This is something that I've been meaning to do and never got around to doing, until now. See more after the jump!
For those of you who may not know I have three cats. Initially I wanted a dog but when I was a teenager my mom brought home a cat from work instead because he was given to her for free with everything included. The people who owned Whiskers before the lady who gave him to us had actually moved and threw him and the other cat out into the streets. My moms work friend said she would see them fending for themselves everyday and people were throwing things and kicking things at them and one day she opened her door and called to them and then they ran into her home. But later on she was moving to a place that didn't allow cats. She was able to give the other one away but not Whiskers. I personally feel like she should have kept them together but if she did I may have never ended up with Whiskers or I would have ended up with two cats.
Whiskers (the one on the left) became part of our family in 2006 after my grandfather had passed away and he was only 9 months at the time. We were close as close as people who are in different countries can be and I took his death pretty hard. But when my mom brought home Whiskers (who was named dusty before I changed it) there was a connection (I know weird). But honestly when I say everywhere I go Whiskers is there it's no joke! He's like the other child I don't have lol! When I had ACL reconstructive surgery in April 2014 a few days leading up to the surgery he kept smelling my knee. When it was time for me to leave he had a sad look in his eyes. When my mom came to pick me up she told me that he pretty much sat at the door until I came home. Even when I came home he didn't leave my side until I was fully mobile again. Even as I type this he's sitting at the foot of my bed not far from me. I guess you could say he's like my best friend.
Ella - Bella (the one in the middle) who was named by my daughter is actually her cat. She went to a birthday party and came home with her. No sappy story. I was pretty shocked when she came through the door with a cat but I was just like hey whatever the more the merrier lol. She was about 4 weeks when we got her. Feisty little thing. She only lets my daughter pick her up and that's who she's around most of the time.
The last cat is Tinker. I actually brought him home from one of my high school friends who initially gave him to this other girl who didn't tell her mom she was bring home a cat and the mother literally told the dog to pretty much set the dog to attack him. Tinker was only a kitten at the time about 5 weeks. His eyes are only glowing because of the flash! I consider him my mom's cat because although I brought him home he's really close to her. I kid you not even when he meows it sounds like he's saying mom and she answers him! Lol. Gah I love each of them so much!
Okay so onto the real reason that you're here, nails! I wasn't trying to make them look like any one cat in particular just some fun cat nails for my love of cats. I actually laughed at my cat drawing because it didn't turn out exactly how I wanted but I still really liked them. I need to keep reminding myself about how much space I have when writing on my nails. I had a lot of fun with this mani and just remembering how each of them became part of the family.
