WNAC January 2016: New Year Tutorial

Hey Loves,

How are you? I'm okay just trying to get some stuff in order. Today I have the tutorial for my WNAC Jan 2016: New Year nails that I wore on New Year's Eve. Did you wear anything fancy on your nails to ring in the new year? You can find all products/tools as well as polishes that were used to create this look here. As usual step-by-step instructions can be found below. Enjoy!
Step-By-Step Instructions:
  1. Apply base coat
  2. Once base coat has dried apply your base color and allow to dry thoroughly (fast drying top coat can be used to assist with this)
  3. Place latex barriertapeliquid palisade (what you have available) on your cuticles to help with clean up
  4. Taking two colors of your choice apply them horizontally on a cosmetic wedge as you see above
  5. Dab sponge onto nail
  6. Repeat steps 4-5 until you have achieved your desired opacity
  7. Remove latex barriertapeliquid palisade (which ever you used)
  8. Clean up any excess polish that may be on or around the cuticles with a brush lightly dipped in pure acetone
  9. Apply fast drying top coat and allow to dry thoroughly as you will be using striping tape or nail vinyls next
  10. Once polish has dried place striping tape as shown above
  11. Repeat step 3
  12. Using the same two colors that were previously used apply them horizontally on a cosmetic wedge but this time in reverse order (so I used gold at the base of my nail and black on the top to start now I'm applying the black at the base of the nail and the gold at the top)
  13. Repeat steps 5-6
  14. While polish is still wet remove striping tape or nail vinyls
  15. Remove latex barrier, tape, liquid palisade (which ever was used)
  16. Clean up any excess polish that may be on or around the cuticles with a brush lightly dipped in pure acetone
  17. Apply fast drying top coat and your finished!

I know that was a mouthful! Lol. I hope that you enjoyed this tutorial as much as I did filming it. Thanks for stopping by!
