Chevron On Chevron/Ballet Slippers Tutorial

Happy Friday!!

For once on a Friday my post is being posted when I want it too! The past few Fridays when I have tried to upload my post it just wasn't happening. Either something came up or my computer was being all weird. But things are going according to my plan today so yay me! Lol.

What I'm sharing with you today is the tutorial for that super easy chevron on chevron/ballet slippers nail art that I shared with you recently which can be found here.

Chevron On Chevron/Ballet Slippers

Hey Readers!,

I can't believe that it's Thursday already! I feel like the days are just getting away from me. Am I the only ones that feel this way? Before I know it it'll be time for my daughter to start her first day of school :(.

Today I have some extremely easy nails to share with you. To me they kind of look like ballet shoes but that's not what I was going for. Regardless I still really do like them. I've been really iffy about posting these but then decided that I should.

Summer Chevron Gradient Tutorial

Hey Readers!,

How are you all doing today? I hope everyone is getting some nice weather like we are over here in Toronto (well for now anyways)! Is the weather where you are up and down like it is over here? I really love using nail vinyls because I'm not the greatest at freehand drawing.

Anyways,Here's the tutorial for the Summer Chevron Gradient. Step by step instructions are posted below!

Step-By-Step Instructions:
  1. Apply base coat
  2. Apply base colour (I usually use white to help the colors pop) and allow to dry thoroughly (or you can use a fast drying top coat to assist with this)
  3. Use Bliss Kiss Simply Peel Latex Barrier (or whatever you may have available) around cuticles to help with clean up
  4. Apply Chevron Nail Vinyls as shown above
  5. Paint three colors of your choice on a latex free cosmetic wedge as shown above
  6. Sponge onto nail
  7. Repeat steps 5-6 until you have desired opacity
  8. While polish is still wet quickly remove nail vinyls
  9. Remove Simply Peel Latex Barrier (or whatever you used)
  10. Clean any excess polish from around the cuticles using a brush gently dipped in pure acetone
  11. Apply a fast drying top coat and allow to dry

Thanks for watching!
