Shinespark Polish The Light Collection Swatches & Review

*PRESS SAMPLE*

Hello again lovelies,

I think that it's finally safe for me to say that Spring is officially here in Toronto! Yayyyy!! I'm so over winter and all of the extreme cold, and temperatures in the negatives. Bring on the sun, and the longer days with the warmer weather of course! Alright now that I've had some excitement about Spring being here, onto the real reason for this post :).

So what I have for you all here is part two of Shinespark Polish The Heat, The Light Collection. The press release for the entire collection can be found here and swatches for The Heat Collection can be found here . The Light Collection is made out of five photochromatic polishes. What's a photochromatic polish you ask? It's a polish that changes color once in direct sunlight.

The Light Collection consists of five polishes. They are:
  • Tangerine
  • Green Apple
  • Ocean
  • Flamingo
  • Periwinkle

Tangerine

The polish that I'm going to share with you first is called Tangerine. Tangerine is a creme polish that dries fast and matte. The formula was smooth and even though the first coat was a little bit sheer the polish did build nicely with good coverage. I used three coats for complete opacity with a top coat. When the polish isn't under direct sunlight it's a muted peach-tan.

But when this color hits direct sunlight it changes from that muted peach-tan to a bright creamy shimmery peach-orange color. Look at that change!!

Here's a photo of the bottle in the sun.

Green Apple

Here we have Green Apple from The Light Collection. I was super excited to try out this polish because Green Apple is my favorite type of apple. It's a creme polish that has a lime color once indoors. The formula was smooth, had good coverage and applied with ease. Just like this polishes siblings it dries fast and matter. This color is perfect to be worn in either spring or summer.

Once this lime color hits the sun BAM! Look at how it changes from that lime green to an actual Green Apple color with some subtle shimmer. To achieve full opacity I used three coats and top coat.

Ocean

Up next is Ocean. I must say that this one is one of my top three favorites from The Light Collection. Ocean is a beautiful deep turquoise creme polish when indoors. The formula was smooth and creamy with a subtle shimmer when indoors and built very nicely. Ocean was fully opaque in three coats and topped off with a top coat.

I'm at a lost for words once this color hits the sun! Look at how it come to life and really looks like the Ocean. This color just brings make memories of the beautiful beaches of Barbados and makes me want to hop on the next plane there!

Flamingo

This pretty polish is called Flamingo. Flamingo is my second favorite from the photochrome polishes. The formula is smooth, dries fast and matte, AND built nicely. The name of the polish suits it perfectly. In the shade or indoors this color is a soft beautiful Flamingo shade. I just absolutely adore this color! The color also reminds me of a baby doll pink or even cotton candy pink! Mmm cotton candy.

Look at her in the sun! She just SCREAMS look at me! Look at that subtle shimmer. In direct sunlight Flamingo turns from that soft pink to a deep bubblegum pink. She was fully opaque in three coats and I used a top coat.

Last from the wonderful The Light Collection (which are all photochrome polishes) is Periwinkle. If you all think that this is my favorite color you're wrong!.....Who am I kidding. Of course this is my favorite color from this collection! Periwinkle is a creme polish that has good coverage. Indoors this polish is a beautiful soft lilac and it reminds me so much of the color my prom dress! Where was this polish when I had prom!!
